Chestnut 2002 Holsteiner stallion. Stam 776.
165 cms.
Licenced with Holsteiner Verband, Germany.
We
visited Germany in 2010 with the view of importing a quality horse
for competition and breeding, and during our trip we discovered
the very special stallion "Andretti".

Andretti
is a licensed Holsteiner with an excellent pedigree and stam line
who will provide exciting new bloodlines to New Zealand breeders
via fresh transported semen.
Says
owner Susie Hayward of her new stallion: "... I rode alot
of horses but Andretti was "the one" - he was the stand out horse
for me. He has scope, technique, he is very careful and he is
a beautiful horse, extremely refined with alot of presence. He
was also very ride able with super movement and is awesome to
jump."

Andretti's
sire "Acorado I" won his performance test receiving two 10s for
his exceptional jumping ability. He twice competed in the Bundeschampionat
and produced over 20 approved sons before his unfortunate early
death.
Acorado's sire "Acord II" was vice-champion at the Bundeschampionat
and has become a world famous sire of showjumping progeny.
Andretti's dam-sire "Come On" competed at the highest level in
international showjumping for many years and has been ranked #1
in the German National Federation's breeding rankings as a result
of numerous State Premium daughters and approved stallion sons.
The stam 776 line that Andretti comes from has also been responsible
for producing many top stallions including Ramiro, Acorado, Lucky
Boy and Landos.
(See
Andretti's Bloodlines page
for more information on his direct relations.)

"Andretti"
has been showjumping successfully up to 1.50m in the age-group
classes throughout Europe, proving his super attitude, willingness
and ridability under the guidance of young rider David Will of
Germany.
Andretti
has to date been strictly a performance stallion. After settling
into his new home in Canterbury, he has continued to compete here
in New Zealand with Susie aboard, making a quick impact with wins
and placings in 2010 and 2011 up to 1* Grand Prix.

Andretti
was available at stud for the first time in 2010 toa stricly limited
number of mares. His first progeny are just arriving now in the
spring of 2011 (see News page)
and looking very like their sire in type, beauty and temperament.
We look forward to watching his offspring develop over the coming
years and joining their sire in future competition.
